Green Design

In today's world of intense environmental awareness, transforming the built environment requires the introduction of sustainable building practices. Rosemann encourages its clients to incorporate Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Principles in their development plans.

LEED recognizes performance results in five key areas including sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.

The U.S. Green Building Council developed LEED to stimulate public awareness and produce practical and cost effective concepts for sustainable design.

According to the EPA, buildings account for almost 40 percent of energy consumed in the U.S. while 136 million tons of construction and demolition waste fill American landfills yearly. LEED principles are valued structural assets that reduce energy consumption.

Rosemann's Kansas City office received LEED NCv2 Certification by demonstrating an environmental commitment during the design, demolition, and construction phases of this historic renovation.
